À LIRE | 8 joueurs qui impressionnent après 2 semaines dans le RSEQ
1 – McMaster (3-0) : WIN 45-16 vs Ottawa.
They’re the top team in the country. Quinlan completed 81% of his passes for 348 yards and 3TDs, 81% ! And oh yeah, he also added 76 on the ground with 2 TDs. UP NEXT: vs Queen’s
2 – Calgary (3-0): WIN 33-12 vs Manitoba.
Near 500 yards performance on offense with no turnovers despite the absence of star RB Lumbala. Coach Nill has to make sure his team is more disciplined moving forward. UP NEXT: at UBC
3 – Montréal (3-0): WIN 45-15 vs Bishop’s.
Another strong, well rounded performance by both the offense and defense. Stability on all 3 units positions them as the top team in the Q. They need to better take care of the football: 3 turnovers for 2nd week in a row (-1 overall). UP NEXT: vs Sherbrooke
4 - Laval (3-0): WIN 31-7 vs Acadia.
We haven’t seen a convincing win from them yet and after 3 weeks. A win is a win and they are still undefeated, but a lot of questions still need to be answered, starting with the offense. Will Justin Éthier’s comeback as OC provide the change needed? UP NEXT: at McGill
5 – Queen’s (3-0) : WIN 18-11 vs Laurier.
Established themselves as the second best team in OUA with a solid home win vs Western. RB Ryan Grandsberg is frontrunner in HEC Crighton race as he lifts his team with another 150+ yards performance. UP NEXT: at McMaster
6 – Regina (2-1) WIN 31-17 vs Alberta.
It’s crowded atop the CanWest division in a 3 way battle for second place between Manitoba, Regina and Saskatchewan. The presence of veteran QB Marc Mueller has Regina in the rankings but the next 2 weeks will ultimately decide their faith. UP NEXT: at Saskatchewan.
7 – Western (2-1): LOSS 18-11 to Queens.
Placing them at #3 spot in last week’s top 10 turned out to be a mistake. They’re a solid team, no doubt, but need to be more balanced on attack (only 109 passing yards on 7 completions vs Queens). UP NEXT: vs Windsor
8 – Sherbrooke (2-1) WIN 23-22 vs St-Mary’s.
HUGE come from behind win at Saint-Mary’s positions them in RSEQ race. 2nd year QB Jay Roch with another big showing (41 of 58, 380yds, 2TD, 0 int). On the downside, Sherb has allowed 7 QB sacks and fumbled 4 times. That can’t happen. UP NEXT: at Montreal
9 – Manitoba (2-1): LOSS 33-12 to Calgary.
Losing out to CanWest’s best team is no shame when you put up 290 yards of total offense and trail only 9-8 at halftime. But you can’t beat an elite team if you lose the turnover battle at -4. UP NEXT: vs Alberta
10 – Acadia (1-1): LOSS 31-7 to Laval.
It’s never easy to come in at Telus Stadium and leave with a W. Actually, no one as done in the past 8 years. So despite loss, the Axemen did show some good: a solid 1st half, 3 sacks for and 0 against, gave up only 114 yards on the ground to top rushing RSEQ team. UP NEXT: at St-Mary’s

OFF MVP – Saskatchewan WR Kit Hillis racks in 14 catches for 224 yards and 3 TDs in win. HUGE.
DEF MVP – Sam Sabourin, LB, Queens. 12,5 tackles, 2 for loss, and 2 sacks in huge win vs Western.
Special Teams MVP – Keegan Treloar, K, Concordia: 6/6 on FGS, accounted for 21 points.
